Households already committed to Panasonic elsewhere in the home, or postcodes where the local F-Gas installer of choice is a Panasonic specialist; the unit does not embarrass itself against its Japanese peers on any axis that a real occupant will notice.
Wrong for
Buyers cross-shopping purely on datasheet noise and seasonal efficiency; the Perfera edges it by a couple of decibels and a couple of SEER points on paper, and both differences are real if not always audible.

Panasonic's onboard ionisation module is the one filtration-adjacent claim on this class of unit that has independent laboratory data behind it; whether that translates to a felt difference in a UK home is a smaller question, but the underlying science is not invented.
