Right for
UK bedrooms up to about eighteen square metres where sleep matters more than headline price, and where the installer network can quote it in under a fortnight.
Wrong for
Open-plan spaces above about thirty square metres, where a larger indoor unit or a multi-split arrangement will do the job with less strain, and often more efficiently.

Method, not marketing
We assessed the Perfera against three questions a serious buyer actually asks. Can it hold a set temperature without hunting on a warm still night; does it modulate low enough that the fan floor stays below the room's own noise floor; and can it be quoted, fitted and parted-out by any competent F-Gas installer in the UK. Manufacturer figures were cross-read against the EPREL registry entry and against the Energy Saving Trust's independent cooling guidance; nothing is stated as fact where those three sources disagree.

The datasheet quotes nineteen decibels A-weighted at the lowest fan setting. In a quiet UK bedroom the room's own noise floor is typically around thirty; the unit disappears into the room rather than announcing itself, which is the whole point of a bedroom split.

The 2.5 kW class matches a typical UK bedroom's peak sensible load with headroom, which lets the compressor sit at a low steady output for most of the night rather than kicking on and off. Short cycling is the noise problem people blame on the unit that is really a sizing problem.
