About Your Home Climate
We help you understand your home before recommending anything to put in it.
Most websites in this space exist to sell you a product. We built Your Home Climate because the right answer for a British home is almost never the first product a homeowner has in mind. A hot bedroom in July is usually a shading and ventilation problem before it is an air conditioning one. A cold living room in January is usually a fabric problem before it is a boiler one. Wet windows are usually an air problem before they are a glazing one.
So we look at the home first. The planner walks through insulation, shading and ventilation before any mechanical kit is sized. When a fabric fix would resolve the issue on its own, the platform says so plainly, even when there is a more expensive option that could have been suggested instead.
Everything you build up on Your Home Climate stays on your device. No email is asked for, no account is required, and the picture of your home becomes a little sharper every time you return.
About the platform
Built independently. Funded by quietly running well.
Your Home Climate is an independent project, written and built in the United Kingdom. It is not owned by a manufacturer, an installer network or an energy supplier. No editorial decision on this site has ever been influenced by a brand, and none ever will be.
The work behind a page like a heat pump verdict or a problem walk-through draws on published research from MCS, the Energy Saving Trust, Nesta and BRE, on the technical literature behind British building physics, and on what installers and homeowners report from the field. Where a number is illustrative rather than measured, the page says so on the page itself.
When the platform is ready to introduce the people behind it by name, this section is where that introduction will appear.
How the platform works

See

Understand
Diagnostics, the comfort pillars and the cause behind the symptom; before anything is recommended.
