MSZ-LN25 'Diamond'
The premium indoor unit for rooms where the wall matters as much as the noise floor; competitive on comfort, distinguished by finish.

Review · Editorial
This review is our considered editorial read; the manufacturer and independent references are cited, but some claims are judgement rather than tested measurement.
Right for
Bedrooms and studies where the unit will be visible from a seated position; households who would otherwise talk themselves out of a fixed split on aesthetics alone.
Wrong for
Cost-led installs where a hundred pounds of installer credit would matter more than a matt-black casing.
How we assessed it
Method, not marketing
Read as a peer of the Perfera on the comfort and running axes, then separated on installation reality and finish. Manufacturer data cross-read against EPREL; independent context supplied by the Energy Saving Trust's cooling guidance.
Scored on four axes

Every score is defended in the finding it belongs to; a numeral is not an argument.
What we found
- 01
Noise floor is broadly a peer of the Perfera.
The LN's quoted low-fan-speed figure is a decibel or two above the Perfera; below the noise floor of a typical UK bedroom either way, which is the ceiling that actually matters for sleep.

- 02
Finish is the honest reason to specify it.
Three factory finishes; the black in particular reads as intentional rather than apologetic. This is the unit for rooms where a white plastic rectangle would be a design compromise.
Evidence · Editorial judgement
- 03
Installer network is deep but narrower than Daikin's.
Mitsubishi Electric is the second-largest domestic-cooling installer network in the UK. In most postcodes this is a distinction without a difference; in the harder-to-reach ones it is a two-week wait rather than a same-week one.

What we would buy instead
- Perfera FTXM25R
The comfort peer at a lower headline price; specify the Perfera unless the finish is a real requirement.
