Typical installed prices for the four systems homeowners ask about most. Each bar shows the published low–high band; the green mark is the most commonly quoted figure. Heat pumps are quoted net of the Boiler Upgrade Scheme or Home Energy Scotland grant, because that is the figure you write the cheque for.

Important: these are illustrative ranges aggregated from publicly published UK industry data; not Your Home Climate quotes. We're building a first-party quote dataset and will mark each row as Your Home Climate data once we have a credible sample. Use these figures as a sanity check on quotes you receive, not as a guarantee.

Methodology

How we build these ranges.

We'd rather show fewer, more honest numbers than a deep table of invented precision.

  1. 01

    Source from public industry bodies

We pull installed-price reports from MCS, Energy Saving Trust, Heat Pump Federation and trade pricing indices. We don't use manufacturer RRPs or installer marketing material.

  2. 02

    Cross-check and triangulate

Where two or more sources cover the same band, we publish the overlap. Where a source is an outlier, we exclude it and note why on request.

  3. 03

    Adjust for grants where applicable

Heat pump ranges are quoted after the £7,500 Boiler Upgrade Scheme (England & Wales) or £9,000 Home Energy Scotland grant; because that's the figure you'll actually write the cheque for.

  4. 04

Replace with first-party data over time

As homeowners submit Your Home Climate quotes, we'll swap aggregated bands for first-party medians and tag those rows accordingly. Source transparency stays visible.

The faster homeowners share what they were actually quoted, the faster these ranges become first-party Your Home Climate data; and the better the next person's decision gets.
