Worcester Bosch has spent decades earning the trust of British gas engineers, and the Greenstar combi range still deserves the reputation that comes with that. The heat pump story is a different conversation. The Compress 7000i AW is a credible unit on paper; but the installer base fluent in commissioning it is a fraction of the base fluent in fitting a boiler, and the field data over five to ten UK winters is still thin against Vaillant and Mitsubishi. If the brief is a boiler replacement, Worcester is the safe default; if the brief is a heat pump, we would specify the brand for the trust the homeowner already feels and then triple-check the installer's specific heat pump credentials.

A homeowner reasonably assumes that a brand which has built British boilers competently for decades will build heat pumps competently too. The unit itself supports that assumption; the installer network does not yet, because heat pump commissioning is a genuinely different discipline.
