It solves the condensation problem it is bought to solve.
By slightly pressurising the house with tempered loft air, the unit dilutes the moisture-heavy air in bathrooms and kitchens and pushes it out through the leakage paths that the fabric already has; the mould that returns every winter usually does not.

Running cost is close to invisible.
The Eco Heat variant draws under twenty watts in steady operation; the heater element only cycles below a set outdoor temperature, so the annual electricity impact is small enough to sit inside the noise of any tariff change.

In a home below about five air changes an hour at fifty pascals, positive input either does very little or fights the ventilation strategy that the fabric is asking for; a home in that band should be running MVHR instead.
